Put your domain on tracked links.
Point a subdomain to Tantra, verify the CNAME, and use it for click redirects and unsubscribe links.
Requires Ability to add a CNAME record at your DNS provider.
What you get
Add and validate a hostname
Add the subdomain you want to use for tracked links.
CNAME target
Tantra shows the exact CNAME target to add at your DNS provider.

Good to know
- Only one verified domain can be the default at a time.
- Deleting the default falls back to Tantra's shared signed domain.
- Tantra does not track email opens; custom domains affect click and unsubscribe links only.
- New sends use your current default domain, resolved at send time. It is not snapshotted per campaign, so changing the default changes links in every subsequent send, including sends from older campaigns. Only mail already delivered keeps the host it was sent with.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to campaigns that were already sent?
- Already-delivered email keeps the host it was sent with; only new sends use your current default domain.
Do older campaigns keep an older tracking host?
- No. The tracking host is resolved from your current default at send time, not snapshotted per campaign, so every subsequent send from any campaign uses the current default.
Does Tantra track email opens?
- No. Custom domains affect click tracking and unsubscribe redirects only; there is no open tracking.
