Plain-text message steps

Add plain-text WhatsApp message steps to a sequence.

International phone numbers

Messages send to contact phone numbers in E.164 format with a country code.

Daily and weekly limits

Each account starts at 50 messages a day, and per-account daily and weekly limits pace WhatsApp activity.

Account management

Sync, reconnect, or remove a connected WhatsApp account at any time.

Unified inbox and webhooks

Replies land in the unified inbox, and sequence-linked replies can trigger a webhook.

Requirements and permissions

  • An active Pro, Scale, or Enterprise plan

  • A WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app account on your phone

    The WhatsApp Business API and a separate business number are not required

  • Contact phone numbers in E.164 format with a country code

Scope and limits

  • Message steps are plain text.
  • Numbers need a country code in E.164 format.
  • A newly connected account may begin with gradual activity before ramping up.
  • Sending begins once the account finishes its initial sync.
  • Each connected WhatsApp account counts toward the social account allowance on your plan.
